OUR ANCHOR DONOR: THE DALAL FAMILY FOUNDATION USA
Jyoti Dalal Medical Centre is an expansion initiative of Shree Borivali Gujarati Seva Mandal with the support of The Dalal Family Foundation USA.
Way back in 2016, the committee members of SBGSM approached shri Nayan Dalal with an idea of expanding the activities of Seva Mandal and increase the outreach. Nayanbhai welcomed the idea and offered his wholehearted support to take the SBGSM to new heights.
The trustees explored various real estate options to purchase for a long while and faced many challenges. Every time there was a challenge, Nayanbhai would reiterate his support and give assurance saying “Take your time. I am with you, we will wait till we find what is the best”. In June 2021, the trustees fixed their eyes on a space available at Jambli Galli, Borivali west, Mumbai as the ideal place for the Unit II of Shree Borivali Gujarati Seva Mandal.
The Centre is named in the memory of Late Smt. Jyotiben Pravinchandra Dalal, mother of Shri Nayan Dalal. The Dalal Family Foundation USA has extended their generous support to this project for the benefit of community. This centre offers wide range of new services like chemotherapy, advance dentistry, panchakarma therapies, physiotherapy, dermatology, cardiology, ayurvedic, kidney and ENT consultations at affordable prices with good quality service.
The Foundation also supports dialysis treatment of 400 patients per month under “The Dalal Family Foundation Dialysis Scheme” providing subsidy to the patients recommended by the Seva Mandal. The Dalal Family Foundation USA has been a strong support to SBGSM in establishing this unit 2 and making a big difference to the quality and number of services made available to the community at large.
Vaastu puja and havan invoking the God’s blessings for the Jyoti Dalal Medical Centre was performed on 13th November 2021.The centre was formally inaugurated at the hands of Shri Pravinchandra Dalal, father of Shri Nayan Dalal, on 26th December 2021.
Shri Nayan Dalal with his family visited the Centre on 23rd December 2022 and expressed his appreciation to the committee members of SBGSM for running the Centre very efficiently.
The members of SBGSM along with the other co- donors appreciate and acknowledge the contribution made by The Dalal Family Foundation USA in setting up the Jyoti Dalal Medical Centre.

The Dalal Family Foundation USA is a private foundation established in 1997 by Shri Nayan Dalal, from a well-known family in Kapol Community. The Foundation is a shining reflection of his Mother Jyotiben and Father Pravinchandra Dalal’s teachings and charitable work. The Dalal Family Foundation endeavours to improve and strengthen the health, education and wellness of communities through philanthropic activities in the United States and India.
