The Dalal Family Foundation Dialysis Scheme.

The Dalal Family Foundation Dialysis Scheme was announced in December 2018 in the memory of Late Smt. Jyotiben Pravinchandra Dalal, Mother of Shri Nayan Dalal, founder of The Dalal Family Foundation USA.

Smt. Jyotiben had to undergo frequent dialysis treatments in the last few years of her life. Every time she went for her dialysis treatment, she was saddened to see the challenges faced by the dialysis patients coming from economically weaker sections. She saw monetary hardships bore by the families with limited source of income.  Nayan too witnessed the same while accompanying his mother for dialysis treatments time and again.

Jyotiben had a strong desire to set up some facility that provides quality treatment at a reasonable rate to the dialysis patients coming from lower income families. She would often share her thoughts with her son Nayan with an intention to inspire him to take up such a project to support the patients in the need of frequent dialysis.

In year 2018, Shri Nayan Dalal was in discussion with The Borivali Gujarati Seva Mandal for setting up their unit no 2 as Jyoti Dalal Medical Centre, for expanding the medical facilities to the community. However, he thought of starting with the Dalal Family Foundation dialysis scheme first, in the memory of his mother Jyotiben Dalal. Since December 2018, the Dalal Family Foundation dialysis scheme has supported about 20,000 dialysis treatments. The scheme provides subsidy for 400 dialysis per month benefiting to around 55 to 60 patients.
